Southern Style Dry Rub
- ¼ cup Brown sugar
- ¼ cup Paprika
- ¼ cup Coarse salt
- 2 tbsp Ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp Garlic powder
- 2 tbsp Onion powder
- 1 tbsp Cayenne pepper
- Whisk brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper together in a bowl.
- Store in an airtight container.
- When ready to cook, season meat with the dry rub and let it sit for 30-45 minutes before cooking.
Makes enough dry rub for 5-7 lbs of ribs or 10 lbs of pork roast or chicken.
