Panettone French Toast

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups Whole milk
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 6 Eggs
  • 4 tbsp Butter, divided
  • 2 lb Panettone

Instructions

  1. Cut panettone into 1 inch thick slices.
  2. Whisk together the milk, sugar, salt, vanilla, cinnamon and eggs until evenly combined.
  3. Melt 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Dip a piece of panettone into the batter and place in the pan. Repeat with as many slices as will comfortably fit in the pan without overcrowding.
  5. Cook, flipping once, about 2 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  6. Place cooked French toast on a plate and repeat with the remaining butter and panettone slices.
