Grilled Tilapia with Spicy Slaw

  • 1/2 cup Cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Fresh cilantro, freshly chopped
  • 2 tsp Jalapeño, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 cups Shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup Red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup Red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 4 Tilapia fillets, 4-5 oz each
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil


  1. For the slaw, in a medium bowl combine vinegar, cilantro, jalapeño and garlic. Add cabbage, onion and bell pepper; toss well to combine. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  2. Preheat grill to medium heat.
  3. Coat grill rack with nonstick cooking spray.
  4. Drizzle fillets with oil, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Grill fillets, covered, 4 minutes per side or until fish flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Transfer fillets to 4 serving plates.
  6. Top each fillet with slaw, and serve.
