Coney Chili Dogs

Ingredients

  • 1 lb 90% Lean ground beef
  • 15 oz Tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dried minced onion
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Ground mustard
  • 1/2 tsp Chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • Dash cayenne pepper
  • 8 Hot dogs
  • 8 Hot dog buns
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheddar cheese, relish and chopped onion

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook beef 6-8 minutes, until no longer pink, breaking into crumbles. Drain and return to pan.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, water, Worcestershire sauce, onion and seasonings.
  4. Place hot dogs in a slow cooker, top with the beef mixture. Cook, covered, on low 4-5 hours or until heated through.
  5. Serve on buns with desired toppings.
