About Our Poughkeepsie Supermarket & Grocery
Our Poughkeepsie store is, literally, the farmstand that grew into five super farm markets. Built on the site of the original Adams farm, it started out as a small stand, eventually became a barn, then began its first incarnation as a full-fledged supermarket. After many expansions and renovations, Poughkeepsie stands proudly as the cornerstone Adams supermarket, serving the heart of Dutchess County.
Conveniently located at 765 Dutchess Turnpike in Poughkeepsie, NY, the store is easy to reach from Route 44 and just a short drive from the Taconic State Parkway. It’s a central Hudson Valley shopping destination, welcoming customers from Poughkeepsie, Arlington, Hyde Park, Spackenkill, Red Oaks Mill, and Fairview.

Adams is a wonderful store. I not only shop there for my meats, produce, seafood, and bakery items, but I love all the other departments. The greenhouse is amazing, there is a nice selection of pet and wild bird foods. Plus it's a great place to get many of my other outdoor things.
Adams is a great store with a huge selection of produce. Enjoyed their atmosphere, chocolate aisle that they make there, fresh produce, meat section. Great experience. Will definitely come back!
Great supermarket with everything thing you can think of (plenty of healthy options). Everything is always fresh and in stock. It's always busy but the register line moves quickly. Its prices are slightly higher but it's worth paying for the quality they maintain.

I love this supermarket. The nursery is amazing, with an extremely knowledgeable staff. The ☕ station is really good. I particularly love the cheese samples. The selection of items is extensive and I can spend hours here.

The produce section is always bright, clean and fresh. The bakery is amazing. The cheese counter is my favorite spot. In the garden area for all your garden needs another things you didn’t know you needed.

This Adams is the best. They are so accommodating and welcoming. Pre cooked hot meals and catering is amazing, especially their empanadas. Best place for gluten free options, and the most friendly staff around!
