Pecan Pie

Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cups Sugar
- 1/4 cup Dark corn syrup
- 1/4 cup Butter
- 1 tbsp Cold water
- 2 tsp Cornstarch
- 3 Eggs
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups Pecans, chopped
- 9 in Unbaked pie shell
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- In a saucepan, stir together the sugar, corn syrup, butter, water and cornstarch. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs until frothy. Gradually beat in syrup mixture. Stir in the salt, vanilla and pecans. Pour into pie shell.
- Bake for 45 – 50 minutes, until filling is set.
