Panettone French Toast Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf All-butter panettone bread
  • 7 Large eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups Whole milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp Orange extract, optional
  • 2 tsps Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Sugar

Instructions

  1. Spray a 9 x 12-inch casserole dish with cooking spray.
  2. Cut the panettone into thick slices and layer them in the casserole dish.
  3. Whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and orange extract.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the panettone, evenly coating all slices.
  5. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes.
  6. Serve with maple syrup.
