Al’s Gardening Tip of the Week – Sow Fall Seeds
It’s time to start thinking about seeds that need to be sown for fall vegetables.
Cabbage, kale, cauliflower and broccoli can all be sown indoors in about two weeks where it’s cooler and easier to take care of seedlings during the height of summer’s heat. You can grow these under lights and plan on transplanting them outside around the last week of August/first week of September, when temperatures are more to these cool weather lovers’ liking.
Of course, you can go rogue and guerilla garden it and plant your seeds outdoors soon and see how it goes. Gardening is all about trial, error and observation. By trying different ways of doing things, the more comfortable and confident you’ll become with your gardening skills.
At Adams Garden Centers we have the seeds and supplies for fall seeding success. Come in and see us!
