Savory Baked Pears

  • 3 Pears
  • 1 Red onion
  • 4 sprigs Fresh rosemary
  • 3 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper


  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
  2. Cut each pear vertically into quarters. Spoon out the core and seeds, and place on a baking pan.
  3. Cut onion into wedges and add to the baking pan with the rosemary sprigs.
  4. Combine olive oil, vinegar and maple syrup in a bowl. Pour over the pears and onions and toss gently to coat evenly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Bake for 35-40 minutes. Pears and onions should be soft and just beginning to caramelize.
  6. Serve warm.
