Instructions
Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent it from bulging while cooking.
Season both sides of the patties with salt and pepper.
Grill or cook the patties in a skillet for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature of the patties reaches 160F.
Toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a skillet for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on the bottom half of each bun. Add your desired toppings, then place the top half of the bun on top.
