Text-to-Order FAQs

How do I text in my order?
Text to your favorite Adams Deli Text to Order number. Text exactly what you want to order with as many details as you want. Save the number in your phone (much like you do a contact) to easily order again later. It’s that simple.

How do I know if my text order or text request was received?
You will receive a confirmation message from Adams Deli with pick-up lead time & order number. If you do not receive a confirmation response message back or you receive, “we are unable to process your request at this time”, please text the order again. If you are still having trouble, please contact Adams Deli for assistance.

What do I do after I receive my order confirmation?
You’ll receive a confirmation message with pick-up lead time & order number. Go to the marked express pick up area (avoid the line), and you’re on your way!

Is there a customer charge?
Based on your provider, standard text messaging rates apply. There is no extra charge to use the service. Hooray!

Deli FAQs

Your Deli is always so busy. Is there anything I can do to cut my wait time?
We do offer a couple of options. Our Poughkeepsie and Wappinger locations offer a Text-to-Order service. (Newburgh & Kingston coming soon.) This information is available above. The other option is to call our stores directly and place your order in advance.
*Please note that both of these services’ waiting times will vary day to day.

Do you special order or carry a line of products that are not current available at your Deli?
If the product is available from our distributors we can usually get what you’re looking for.

Are your cold cuts gluten-free?
Yes, we only slice the highest of quality cold cuts available on the market. Some lesser quality companies will use fillers as a substitute of real meat to cut the processing cost and those fillers may contain gluten.

What is a processed cheese?
Processed cheese is a food product made from a normal cheese (and sometimes other unfermented, dairy by-product ingredients), plus emulsifiers, saturated vegetable oils, extra salt, food colorings, and/or whey and sugar. As a result, many flavors, colors, and textures of processed cheese exist. Most naturally made, unprocessed cheeses are Swiss, Brie, Parmesan and Mozzarella.

What the difference between “Organic” and “All Natural” cold cuts?

Organic
Organic is a strictly regulated term by the USDA. For meats to qualify for the organic label, farmers follow non-chemical practices such as not using pesticides in the feeds their animals will be consuming. Rotational grazing, balanced diet and clean housing may all be used to maximize the health of the animals without chemical interventions. The organic label is used voluntarily, but to be able to use it, a farm must meet the USDA’s regulations.

Natural
According to the USDA, meats may be labeled as “natural” if they are minimally processed and contain no added color or artificial ingredients. The label must explain why the food is considered natural. “Naturally raised” is a voluntary term, not USDA-sanctioned, that refers to a farmer’s practices. This means livestock have been raised without growth-promoting substances such as added hormones or antibiotics and have never been fed animal or aquatic byproducts from slaughter.

Do we slice organic cold cuts?
No, USDA regulations prevent us from using the same equipment and refrigerated cases that non-organic products use. Some products that we slice contain nitrates/nitrites and other common additives to cured meats that would be picked up by the organic products hence negating to organic value.

So do you have any organic selection?
Yes, we do offer a selection of Apple Gate pre-sliced and packaged cold cuts in our self-serve case.

I have a question not listed here.
Please speak with any of our Deli staff who would be happy to help you.
