Michael Credo Photography Exhibit at Adams in Newburgh

For the month of June, our Newburgh store will exhibit work by Michael Credo, a Hudson Valley based photographer. You’ll see some familiar Valley scenes in Michael’s photos, along with breathtaking landscapes and mesmerizing long-exposure shots.

Michael Credo was born and raised in Dutchess County. At a very young age his mother introduced him to photography, giving him a disposable camera every time they went on vacation or to a special event with his family. After many years he worked his way up to different film cameras. He has been self-taught for over 20 years.

Michael is a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY and earned a BA in 2000. While at the CIA his passion for both food and photography blended together as he documented various dishes and places he worked throughout the United States. While Living in Telluride, Colorado, Mike fell in love with the outdoors and the beauty of Mother Nature.

After the passing of his mother in 2007, he followed her advice to not take anything for granted and enjoy life. This is when the spark ignited and he looked at the world not only through his eyes but also through his view finder.

Michael’s work has been published in various local newspapers and used on many websites. One of his most notable accomplishments is his “Bank Sq” picture which can be seen throughout Beacon, NY and has placed 1st in art shows as well as winning “Best in Show”. Michael was also given the opportunity to assist Robert Rodriguez Jr. on his recent “Beyond the Lens” workshop in Tennessee.

Michael takes pride in all of his work and tries to document all of his pictures as he cap- tures exact moments in time.
