Growing French Tarragon

Plant French Tarragon in well-drained soil in full sun or part shade. Space plants about 2 feet apart to give them room to spread. Fertilize at planting, and then let the plant go to encourage the plant’s flavor intensity.

Harvest regularly or prune plants to a height of 2 feet to prevent flowering.

In the late fall, water well and spread mulch over the plants to protect the roots over the winter.
