Adams & Artology – November Artist

Artology1-1November’s artist of the month is Ms. Jamie Taylor. Jamie is an artist and permanently certified New York state art educator with over 20 years of teaching experience. Ms. Taylor graduated Magna Cum Laude from the State University of New York at New Paltz with a Bachelor of Science degree in art education. She also holds a Master of Art in Art Studio degree with a specialty in printmaking, from SUNY at New Paltz. While earning her Associate of Applied Science degree at SUNY at Rockland Community College, Ms. Taylor received an honors scholarship. Upon graduation, she was elected by the college to Phi Sigma Omicron for academic achievement.

Ms. Taylor’s artwork is part of the permanent printmaking collection at SUNY at New Paltz. She has participated in a number of juried and open art exhibits, winning awards from honorable mention, first through third place and best of show.

Prior to becoming an art educator, Ms. Taylor was a graphic designer for a major payroll computer services company. She was also an art director in the public relations department of a computer company.

Ms. Taylor is the owner of Artology, an art gallery, art studio and retail shop located in New Windsor. Artology offers art instruction for children through adults.

Beginning with November 2014 and each month thereafter, the work of a different local artist will be featured at Adams Fairacre Farms in Newburgh. You can find the artwork displayed just inside the front entrance near produce. All participating artists have generously agreed to donate 50% of the selling price of each artwork sold in this campaign to breast cancer research, which includes the Susan G. Komen foundation.
